If you want to work in healthcare without spending years in school, medical assisting is a fast, flexible way to launch your career. In Pima’s Medical Assistant program, you’ll build the skills to assist physicians with both patient care and office tasks—giving you a full view of what it’s like to work in a medical office. In just one year, you’ll gain real-world experience through front- and back-office externships and be ready to work in one of the nation’s fastest-growing healthcare careers.
After earning your Medical Assistant Certificate, you can head straight into the workforce—and you can also choose to pursue additional certificates or degrees in medical administrative areas like Health Information Technology or patient care like Practical Nursing.
Completing our program prepares you to work as a Medical Assistant in:
